A Maiden's Sonnet

In the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind,
Comes forth a maiden of all-encompassing love.
None to call equal, nor in kind,
A woman whose grace comes from God above.
Of beauty so radiant one's eyes melt,
With hair of shimmering black gold.
Of fragrances so pure, but a sin if not smelt,
If Lucifer be her name, I would surely sell my soul.
As this fair maiden walks the wretched earth,
With feet of polished marble upon unworthy stone,
A love-strung arrow dost pierce my lonely heart,
And I pray to be hers alone!
But this heavenly maiden has sights for no man nor god,
She walks on alone, and is only remembered, in this Maidens' Sonnet forever told.
